Winterbourne Swim Academy currently teaches in excess of 500 swimmers each week in group lessons that operate Tuesday to Sunday each week.
Due to popular demand, we have also relaunch its “Academy Babies” classes from January 2014 where Babies can gain their very first experiences of fun in the water accompanied by Mum or Dad.
Using the guidance of the “National Plan for Teaching Swimming” and standards underpinned by the ASA, students can progress through ability stages from this first “dip” to becoming confident and competent swimmers, equipped with a range of skills and stroke techniques and abilities.
Here at Winterbourne Swim Academy, we take all of the jigsaw puzzle pieces which are the skills of swimming and place them together with the students as they progress along their journey of aquatic skills.
Our Academy team is headed up by Duncan Payne. Duncan is an experienced senior level teacher who specialises in disability swimming, under confident swimmers and those who have experienced an “incident” which may leave them fearful of swimming and/or water. The team are multi-disciplined and together they provide a host of skills which benefit each and every swimmer.
Lessons are currently priced at £5.25 each and are booked in blocks which normally mirror the Academy terms. The Swim Academy doesn’t operate during holiday periods as we use this time to offer One to One, One to Two and small group lessons including intensive and “top up” sessions.
Please contact our swimming team on 0800 953 0059 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information, advice and guidance.
